Personalized Care for Every Step of the Journey At The Healing Institute, we understand that recovery isn’t one-size-fits-all.
That’s why we create personalized care plans designed to meet each client’s unique needs. From the first assessment to Continuing Care, our multidisciplinary team provides trauma-informed support in a restorative environment where transformation can take root.
After a thorough psychosocial assessment, our clinical and medical staff will continue to monitor the treatment plan, making adjustments when needed to establish a comprehensive framework for long-term recovery and, ultimately, improved quality of life.
The inpatient experience is designed to remove participants from the influences in their day-to-day life and immerse them in a healing environment.
Healing Beyond Symptoms Addiction is complex, often rooted in unresolved trauma. Our trauma-informed approach addresses not only symptoms but the underlying drivers of substance use. In our 50-day residential program, clients engage in: - Weekly individual counselling and personalized care planning - Group therapy sessions for shared insight and peer support - Skills-based education on emotional regulation and relapse prevention - Holistic practices like yoga, mindfulness, art therapy, and recreational therapy - 24/7 nursing support and medical care for physical stabilization and comfort This integrated approach helps clients build resilience, develop coping strategies, and prepare for sustainable recovery.
Ongoing Support for Lifelong Recovery Recovery doesn’t end when residential treatment does. Our Continuing Care program offers alumni a strong network of support as they navigate life after treatment. Features include: - Weekly group sessions (1.5–2 hours) focusing on skill building and relapse prevention - Recovery coaching and individual counselling via telehealth and text check-ins - No time limits—clients can access Continuing Care for as long as they need - Alumni community events and support networks to stay connected
Healing Together Addiction and mental health challenges impact the whole family. At The Healing Institute, we provide education and support to help loved ones rebuild trust, strengthen communication, and develop healthy relationships. Family involvement may include: - Pre-treatment consults and assessment meetings - Family therapy sessions during treatment to promote healing within relationships - Discharge planning that prepares families to support their loved one post-treatment
Concurrent Disorders Treatment
Integrated Care for Complex Challenges Mental health and addiction rarely exist in isolation. At The Healing Institute, we treat co-occurring disorders through an integrated model that combines clinical therapies, trauma recovery, and holistic practices. Key components include: - Comprehensive psychiatric and psychological assessments - Evidence-based therapies (CBT, DBT, trauma stabilization) - Culturally safe practices and family support to strengthen recovery systems - Ongoing adjustments to care plans based on client progress
While some individuals come to The Healing Institute with a clear condition, others enter treatment without fully understanding the cause of their challenges and suffering.
They may not present with symptoms that quickly and clearly point to a single diagnosis.
At The Healing Institute, our comprehensive assessment process helps develop an understanding of each individual and the unique circumstances that led them to reach out for help.
Our comprehensive assessment includes:
- Psychiatric assessment
- Psychological assessment
- Addiction assessment
- Physical assessment
- Nutritional assessment
- Recreational therapy assessment
