The Healing Institute's New Home: Gabriola Island

The Healing Institute has officially completed its move to Gabriola Island, B.C., opening a new West Coast campus designed for immersive, recovery-oriented care, with expanded space to support the resident experience and an exciting shared-site partnership with The Haven.

We’re so excited to share that The Healing Institute has officially moved to Gabriola Island, British Columbia, and the transition is now complete!

Our new home is a true West Coast sanctuary on the northwest shoreline of Gabriola Island, surrounded by forest, open land, and shoreline. Spanning 6.77 acres with 426 feet of shoreline access, the campus creates space to breathe, reset, and fully engage in the work. With multiple buildings for lodging and programming, as well as a fitness centre, the environment is designed to support both deep clinical care and the everyday rhythms that make recovery sustainable.

To add to the excitement, this move brought us to a shared site with The Haven, a long-standing, not-for-profit hub for transformational learning that has been welcoming participants since 1983. The Haven is known for powerful, experiential group programs rooted in self-awareness, relational learning, and personal growth. We’re thrilled to be part of a purpose-aligned campus and, looking ahead, to explore meaningful collaboration and co-developed programming that expands what’s possible for the people we serve.

As we step into this next chapter, one thing remains non-negotiable: continuity of care. We remain committed to:
• No interruptions to programming
• Admissions remaining open and unchanged
• The same clinical standards, recovery-oriented approach, and level of care
• Consistent support for clients, families, and referral partners
