Treatment at The Healing Institute is individualized to each person’s needs, experiences, and goals. Our multidisciplinary team combines clinical care, psychoeducation, and holistic wellness in a whole-person approach that supports long-term recovery.
The Healing Institute provides individualized treatment for addiction, mental health concerns, and concurrent disorders. Care is tailored to each participant and considers the interconnected factors that can influence health, wellbeing, and recovery.
Our program brings together evidence-based clinical treatment, medical support, skill development, physical wellness, nutrition, and restorative experiences within one integrated approach.
Individual and group counselling, psychoeducation, relapse prevention, grounding, emotional regulation, and recovery-focused planning help participants develop greater understanding, practical skills, and strategies to support recovery beyond treatment.
CBT supports participants in identifying patterns of thinking and behaviour and developing practical strategies to respond to challenges in healthier and more effective ways.
DBT introduces practical skills related to mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness that can be applied throughout treatment and everyday life.
Medical and nursing care are available to support participants throughout treatment, including assessment, medication management, health monitoring, and medically-supported withdrawal management when required.
Movement, yoga, mindfulness, and other wellness programming are integrated into the treatment experience to support physical health, routine, stress management, and overall wellbeing.
Art therapy and creative programming provide opportunities for reflection, expression, and exploration as part of a broader approach to recovery.
Participants have access to restorative wellness supports including infrared sauna, cold plunge, and IV therapy as part of the broader whole-person approach at Taylor Bay.
Thoughtfully prepared meals and nutrition support are incorporated into daily life at THI, recognizing the important role physical health and nourishment play in overall wellbeing and recovery.
Taylor Bay’s oceanfront setting, shoreline, forest, and walking trails create opportunities for outdoor activity, recreation, reflection, and time in nature throughout treatment.
THI’s Family Freedom Program provides education and support to help loved ones better understand addiction, mental health, and recovery while strengthening communication, boundaries, coping skills, and their role in supporting long-term recovery.
THI also offers a free weekly Family Freedom Call, held live on Zoom every Wednesday at 5:30 PM PST. The session provides practical education, an opportunity to ask questions, and support for families navigating recovery.
Every participant has lifetime access to continuing care, providing ongoing recovery-focused support and connection after residential treatment.
